Emily and Rob celebrated their special day with a stunning About Thyme Wedding in Bailey’s Harbor, Door County, Wisconsin. The couple exchanged vows in a beautiful outdoor ceremony beside the organic garden of About Thyme. Followed by a delicious farm-to-table dinner reception. The perfect day for the couple to start their lives together. And to share the love they have for one another with family and friends. Read on to learn more about Emily and Rob’s big day!
Emily got ready at Rob’s Airbnb, a beautiful cottage right on Lake Michigan and next to Rob’s Peninsula Kayak Company. The perfect lakehouse for a morning getting ready with the bridesmaids. With a front sunroom for makeup and hair to do their thing. In addition, Emily had her first look with her Dad, and her Mom helped to make final adjustments to her dress. Dad cried and I think we all had wet eyes from the sweet moment exchanged between the two.

Another great thing about the cottage’s location is that it’s located next to Lake Park in Jacksonport. Where Emily and Rob had their first look, which was so beautiful on the boardwalk leading to the beach. The sun was perfectly tucked behind the clouds. Allowed gorgeous photos of the couples before photographing the full bridal party in front of the seagrasses.
Rob was among his groomsmen, brothers, soon-to-be brothers-in-law, and soon-to-be father-in-law getting ready at his and Emily’s lake house. It’s a quaint home on Lake Michigan. A perfect spot for the guys to get ready and hang out before the festivities of the day started.
Emily & Rob are that epic love, who have nothing but loving words for each other and lift each other up. They are honestly the type of couple Troy and I are constantly striving to be. It’s evident in how much love they give out to others, by how much love was shown to them throughout their wedding day. I honestly couldn’t have imagined a more perfect day for these two as they united two lives into one.
The About Thyme Wedding venue is an organic farm with a genuine landscape. Where you feel you’re invited into a personal space to celebrate your wedding day with your guests. It’s a lovely and elegant venue. With a farm-fresh flare that has everything you could need to celebrate your big day. Including the rolling hills in the back of the farm perfect for wedding day portraits of the bride & groom.
About Thyme Wedding
The couple said their vows in the back of the farm with an outdoor ceremony beside the garden. The ceremony was unique & personal with an appearance by Rob’s nephew as the ring bearer. And Rob’s Brother-in-law Greg, who officiated the ceremony. There was loads of laughter and a few happy tears during this sweet ceremony. Where you could feel the love between Emily & Rob and for them. Once they had their epic first kiss. They walked down the aisle as Mr. & Mrs. Geitner. Stopped in the middle and had a second even more epic kiss. Then Emily’s college besties blew bubbles to top off the ceremony, making it extra joyful!
Immediately following the ceremony and family portraits, we snuck Emily & Rob out to the backfield and away from cocktail hour. They had intimate time away from guests to soak in the newness of being Mr. & Mrs. and photograph “newlywed,” portraits.
A charcuterie board greeted guests during the cocktail hour. Along with hand-crafted cocktails out in the common space between the barns. A canoe filled with beverages was a fun detail next to the outdoor bar. Everyone had a joy-filled time spent laughing and hugging throughout the cocktail hour as everyone mingled.

Emily and Rob celebrated their classic About Thyme Wedding with a farm-to-table reception. The Chef crafts delicate and exquisite dishes for this farm-to-table reception. Meanwhile, the staff works seamlessly together to deliver plates to seated guests. The couple enjoyed their toast during speeches by both the Father of the Bride & Groom. Following dinner, they shared their first dance as a married couple. Then what seemed like every guest hit the dance floor and the party really began. Bubbles came out again, and DJ Trent brought down the house.
